A great opportunity has come available with one of my key clients in Stevenage. My client is looking for a Systems Engineer (Innovation) to join there ever expanding company. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:-
Liaising with and integrating and demonstrating new technology to departments within the client and the Customer. 
Assisting in design activities from the drawing board to the physical implementation of prototypes and demonstrations.
Attending industry briefings and shows to monitor technology and its potential applicability to Paradigm
future services.
Managing the production and acceptance of test and verification regimes to enable acceptance of the Design/prototype.
Assisting in co-ordination of the required Design and Phase Reviews to enable the design prototype or service.
Where appropriate, provide entries in the Services catalogue, contribute information on the service and produce pre-deployment briefing packs.
Maintain Product Development Plans and Road Maps for Service Products.
Manage the production of Assurance documentation, Value for Money statements and product price strategies for Projects undertaken.
Ensure that the Designs conform with quality assurance, licensing and documentation control procedures.
Provide input to the Light Touch Reporting Process and other reports as required. 
Liaison with the Customer, IT, Network Operations and Maintenance, the Fixed Commercial Services Support Manager and Customer Operations manager on all aspects of the equipment or service continuity, product improvement and initiatives to develop new products to ensure that support
provided to the User/Customer is consistent with the Project and/or Service Deliverables.

Qualifications and / or Skills:-

Essential
Project Management experience
Minimum five years operational experience of service and network management systems within a Telecommunications and/or Sat Comm environment 
Experience of project or programme management ideally having a significant involvement in the roll out of operational management systems
Experience in operating in or managing of virtual teams across multiple organizations
Experience in negotiation of test requirements and execution of test campaigns
Experience in process development and operational deployment
Exposure to Training programmes focussed on operational roll out of system upgrades
Excellent report writing and presentation skills 
Relevant Degree level or equivalent qualification with experience of Satellite and Network technologies MS Office and Project proficiency

Desirable:
Understanding of RF-Digital interface issues
Previous track record in leading design and /or operational system upgrades including the development of test campaigns, training programmes and implementation of revised processes and procedures
Good technical understanding of Voice, IP and ATM principles

Commercially Proficient - for sub-contract commercial conditions, assisting Commercial Department to prepare NDA's, patents, sub-contract development agreements... 
Supportive in a Team environment. 
Good communicator/systems leadership, would be highly desirable. 
Good working understanding of sub-tended networks and issues which might arise at our interfaces.
