	        	<description>The Synergy Group are currently recruiting for 2 Qualified Social Workers to work within the Long Term Children's Team.    These positions are based in the UK Midlands / Wales border and set in a beautiful area of the country.

The positions are of course available to those living locally &amp;amp; also offer up to £5000 relocation package to those looking to move to the area. 	        	<title>Service Manager</title>

	        	<description>The Synergy Group are currently recruiting for a Service Manager, Fieldwork (Children's Services), for a Local Authority based in the UK Midlands, bordering Wales.

As well as a competitive salary of between £48,379 and £52,431, the council offer a £7000 relocation package,  pays professional fees, offers a car leasing package, childcare vouchers, flexible working time, 24 hour EAP &amp;amp; final salary pension scheme.

The successful post holder will be responsible to the Head of Safeguarding &amp;amp; Assessment, &amp;amp; will be responsible for 3 Social Work Teams x 3, Team Managers and After Care Service.

The manager will be accountable for the delivery of a high quality social work and after care service to children and young people in the county and to take lead responsibility on a range of strategic issues for the Directorate and Council.

The jobholder will be expected to complete the responsibilities / accountabilities effectively:

&amp;quot; To have lead responsibility for the safe operation of three locality based social work teams dealing with child protection/safeguarding, care proceedings, looked after children and adoption.
&amp;quot; To have lead responsibility for overseeing the safe and effective delivery of the After Care Service to young people leaving the looked after system in Herefordshire.
&amp;quot; To have lead responsibility for monitoring, reporting on and taking necessary action to improve a range of Key Performance Indicators related to specific service area.
&amp;quot; To act as strategic lead on a range of issues linked to specific service area and/or wider children's agenda.
&amp;quot; To establish and implement policies, procedures and quality assurance systems relating to Safeguarding and Assessment Service as required.
&amp;quot; To ensure that services are delivered within the existing Directorate and Council framework of policy and procedure.
&amp;quot; To proactively manage the performance of all staff within specific service area and to robustly address any issues of under performance where they arise.
&amp;quot; To be responsible for managing budget relating to own service area (£2m) and to contribute to the effective financial management of the Safeguarding and Assessment Service as a whole.
&amp;quot; To undertake management reviews, complaint investigations and discrete pieces of work relating to specific service area or Safeguarding and Assessment Service as required.
&amp;quot; To provide professional supervision to the Team Manager, Children with Disabilities Team as and when required.
